Firstname and Lastname cannot be the same?

Getting an error trying to set up the registration plugin. I have it enabled as best as I can tell but I did notice I don't get the same additional prompt in the user creation page you have here for Firstname and Lastname. So I must have something amiss. I've made creation of a grid account optional. I'm using the Jooma Users->Manage screen to add the account (trying to set up default avatars and excersize this at the same time).

I'm running Opensim 0.9-dev. Caught up as of about 2 weeks ago.

Fixed my own problem. If you create the user from the admin page the plugin isnt called and you don't get the First Name/Last Name, Avatar picker stuff. If you use the registration page those things do work. IDK if the admin page should work so perhaps thats a bug but its easy enough to work around.

Creating OpenSim accounts via Joomla admin user account creation is currently not implemented (yet).

Allthough on my todo list, I probably will not implement it anymore in any jOpenSim version for Joomla 3.x (the procedure on this will be a bit different in upcoming Joomla4)

The issue is with the plugin enabled you cannot even create a regular joomla user it will error, even if opensim account creation is set to optional. I think I did open a mantis on this ..

Yes found this as well. Optional doesn't mean optional at present. You cant create a website only user.

Yes watcher, you reported an issue in mantis getting error when creating a joomla user via admin even with user creation set to "optional". While fixing this, I also found the bug getting another message again when "allow same name" is set to "yes". But looks like I only fixed half of it

Please check *** link removed - not working *** and tell me if this version solved this issue now.

Is there a workaround for this? I can probably turn off the plugin and create the users manually but at present I have no way to make website only users.

yes you can temp disable the plugin just by turning it off in the plugins panel, create the user and then turn it back on ..
