When Using the information on setting up Database from PDF the JOpenSim com does not connect but if you were to swap the database info around in com it does connect to DB but somethings do not work right
PDF
sector54.net/pics/pdf_doc.png
Using DB info from Robust.ini: I have entered info from my Robust.ini
sector54.net/pics/settings_in_com.png
and
Using DB info from GridCommon.ini: I have entered info from my GridCommon.ini
sector54.net/pics/settings_in_com2.png
again if you reverse these and use your GridCommon DB info in section thats suppose to be Robust info and Robust info in section thats for GridCommon it works but again somethings dont work right
In screen pic settings_in_com2 it says to get DB info from opensim.ini which does not have any Database information im guessing this is a typo and information from your GridCommon.ini should be used as PDF says
Also after installing Com to a fresh install of Joomla 2.5.6 I have gotten errors when trying to create a Joomla User as superuser most times it will not take after few trys I have gotten it to take So to make it easier might be best to create users in Joomla before installing JOpenSim Com then you can of course bind them with opensim users after JOpenSim Com is installed
Note about Hypergrids and Megaregions
hypergrids:You may need to try links in 2 ways
standalone Mode: secondlife://yourdomain-or-ip:9000:domain-or-ip/YourCords/YourCords/YourCords
Grid Mode: secondlife://yourdomain-or-ip:8002:domain-or-ip/YourCords/YourCords/YourCords
replaceing: with / before domain name or ip
standalone Mode: secondlife://yourdomain-or-ip:9000/domain-or-ip/YourCords/YourCords/YourCords
Grid Mode: secondlife://yourdomain-or-ip:8002/domain-or-ip/YourCords/YourCords/YourCords
make sure you setup your ini's by docs at
opensimulator.org/wiki/Installing_and_Running_Hypergrid
I have also found it best to not use a space in name for your SW Region for Hyper Links
MegaRegions with CombineContiguousRegions = true:
setup with docs at:
opensimulator.org/wiki/Setting_Up_Mega-Regions
Make Sure to setup your SW region in region.ini with port 9000 or 9001 using any other port does not seem to work Dont know why ?
Also make sure to setup your Default and Fallback region up in your Robust.ini or Users will get stuck Region_YourRegionName = "Default,FallBackRegion" again best not to use a space in region name
